Can you guess?

Disclosure : Family Christian has provided me with this game for my review. All opinions are my own and I am not being compensated for this post other than the game itself.

Whether you are a seasoned believer or a newborn Christian one thing remains important in your spiritual walk and that is growth. To grow spiritually, I believe we must actively seek God in our everyday lives. In my opinion there are countless ways to do this and for me some of my favorites ways to feel closer to God throughout my daily routines are as follows: Making it a daily habit to read scripture through a bible reading plan, listening to worship music while I work, receiving daily devotionals, etc. The list can go on and on.

I recently received an opportunity to try out “The Action Bible Guess-It Game”. I was not financially compensated other than receiving the game and was asked to give my honest opinion.

Fun for Family night, Game Night or any other gatherings…

At first the instructions to this game seemed a bit confusing but once I re-read the “How to” it was actually much easier than I originally thought. I played the game with a few of my coworkers. Some of us had more biblical knowledge than the others but all in all playing was still really fun for everyone. I feel as though this game would be a great idea for a family night whether spontaneous or planned. The way the points are setup you can have easy or hard levels.

Perfect For a Friendly Competition!

Perfect For a Friendly Competition!

What I love most about this game is that the card side with the answers also tells you which book the answer is in and the vs each clue is in. I even had a coworker whose Grandfather had been a bible scholar and church founder say and I quote, “This is a great way to study up on God’s word. I can just take a few cards a day and study my bible with them!”

I recommend The Bible Guess-It game to anyone looking to learn more about God’s word and who wouldn’t mind having lots of fun in the mean time. As you can see in the picture below, some will do better than others and NO, I will not tell you which letter was mine! Ha….Good luck and let me know what you thought of the game!

God is Love

god is love                                                                                                             God IS Love

God, my Lord and savior is many great things. He is known as the Holy Spirit, God of Angel Armies, Prince of Peace, Alpha & Omega, The Great I Am, and so much more that the list can go on and on. As I began this journey after God’s heart I soon realized all that He truly is. One of the many great things God is, is love. God is Love! He is the one true definition of the word. In the book of Corinthians it speaks about love. “Love is patient and kind, love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away, as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

This to me speaks volumes on my generation and where I personally have been in my life before. I know now I’ve never truly loved because how could I love myself or another when I go against the very true essence of love defined by the word? I truly believe we cannot learn to love ourselves or anyone else until we can know and love God. God is all of these things. He is kind and patient and wishes no harm to us. He gave us life and free will even though HE is all knowing. He knows the evil that lies in each and every one of our hearts yet He loves us anyway because we are HIS children.

If you have a child I can explain it to you this way. You will always love your child because you gave them life and it is a natural instinct. They may disappoint you or get involved with horrible things which cause you to step back but your love for them will always exist and you will always hope for them to come back to you and do the right things in their lives. Well imagine that love and multiply it by infinity because God loves us more than we can even fathom. He is our Father whom we should strive to always please. If you feel like God has never done one thing great in your life or he has never favored you, remind yourself that HE gave you life!

In Romans 12:19-21 Paul talks about not taking revenge or feeding into your Wrath because the Lord’s wrath is sufficient. Make no mistake about our Lord. He IS love but HIS wrath is very real as well. If someone was messing with your child would you not feel some type of anger or a need to protect your child against harm? He feels this way towards us. We belong to him and he watches over us. He doesn’t want us to take any steps towards vengeance because we are all born sinners and even our judgement against wrong doing can be misplaced. God can see one’s heart when all we can see is the outside.

What If This Was Everyone's Motto?!

What If This Was Everyone’s Motto?!

To judge another for a sin they may have committed to you chances are you have probably done the same or are capable of doing it in the future is misplaced judgment. I find that some of the things that offend us or upset us the most are some of the very same things we ourselves are guilty of. How weird is that?

JudgeNot

Love This Quote From Spiritually Thinking BlogSpot

When we judge others we have no room to love them. Instead of judging each other we can speak truth in love according to God’s word. I am convinced that even righteous judgement should be treaded very lightly. We all fall short of perfection and is why our need for our savior becomes vital. Self-righteousness is all too easily found in the human psyche. I am still learning in my walk to keep true judgement up to God because if I am too busy judging what someone is or isn’t doing correctly where is the time to love them and point them back to God?

God doesn’t hold ANY sin higher than another. To Him it is all sin and HE is holy. Where there is holiness, sin cannot be. That is why when you live in sin the presence of the Holy Spirit dwindles. We do not know the intentions of other’s hearts but God does and if the true intentions are evil they will have HIM to answer to and may He have mercy on their souls. God bless you all my brothers and sisters and I pray this post encourages you all to love God’s way.

Sincerely,

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

Romans 12:19-21

Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Isaiah 13:9

Behold, the day of the Lord comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger, to make the land a desolation and to destroy its sinners from it.

Romans 12:9

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.

Don’t let anyone diminish the light within yourself…

God made us in his image. We are favored because we are his children. It was said that even the angels in heaven became jealous of the love our Lord has for us. Can you imagine that? Angels, jealous of us?! How could we not feel loved? Sad to say that we go through this life clinging to the hope that we will find that “one true love” that “never ending, all consuming, can’t sleep at night love.” All the while this love has been promised to us thousands of years ago. God’s love is perfect. It is never faltering and HE will never let you down. People on earth are only human and no matter how good a person is in one way or another disappointment will occur.

Let your Light Shine3
I must admit this is all fairly new to me but I kid you not when I say in the midst of starting back from zero I have never felt more alive and full of the strength that I once prayed for every day and night. I may have had my doubts in the past. As cynical as I was I can honestly sit here today and tell you I have 0 doubts that Jesus Christ is my savior. I fell in love with Jesus and I accepted him as my one true love. At this point I am so enwrapped in Awe of our Lord and savior that a man would need to be close to God in order to be close to me.
I know someone near and dear to my heart who is going through something very similar to my situation. And I would like to dedicate this post to her! Stay strong my friend. The road is long but with God by our side there isn’t a single hardship we can’t face and overcome. She too was in an abusive relationship and tried clinging on for the sake of their child. Now when a woman falls in love she falls hard. Not saying this does not apply to men but in this case we’re talking about women who are after God’s heart. So any who, this friend of mine, is a beautiful soul lost in what she thought would be her fairytale. Her happy ending. Too many times I hear women say that they stayed longer than they would have had they not had a child together. I was one of those women. I am an advocate for marriage and of course I would never want to see any family split up but when abuse is involved then it is a whole other story.
God did not create woman from Adam’s head to be controlled by him nor did he create us from his feet to be stepped on, instead the almighty lord created Eve from Adam’s rib, close to his heart so that we may stand side by side as equals. It is when a man treats you with such love as Christ loved the church that you know you have a man of God. I myself had not been saved when I met my husband therefore I chose my partner based on things of this Earth. A mistake I will not make again. I don’t know what the future holds for me or my friend but ladies I implore you, if a man is making you feel less than what you are, a beautiful child of God, then that is a abuse and you should either seek counseling and or/remove yourself from the situation. Abuse can be verbal, mental and or physical. I’ve encountered all three in one man. I pray that God can change me and in return allow me to lead by example and pray for change in my husband. Only God knows what is in store for us but if he is showing you signs that you need to let go of something then we as women after God’s heart need to listen. He will take things away from us because he has something better than we could have ever imagined waiting for us. All it takes is a little faith. But PLEASE do not let anyone diminish the light you have within yourself. God loves you for who you are. Remember the Devil knows your name but calls you by your sin, God knows your sin but calls you by your name.
I can do all things through Christ which strengthneth me. ~Phillippians 4:13
